Introducing Jes Distad, our guest curator for Pride month, June 2023! They're a nonbinary queer artist who's all about the weird and wonderful. From writing to painting, sculpting to filmmaking, Jes does it all! They studied art at the Academy of Art in San Francisco and are also passionate about collecting art.

Jes's art is a delightful blend of silliness and style! Their art is all about having fun and spreading joy. They're serious about making playful fine art that genuinely connects with people.

Originally from Maryland, Jes has been a creative force in the SF Bay Area, New York, and Atlanta. After returning back to the Bay Area, they've been doodling, creating affordable art, and highlighting local talent. Jes collaborates with Moth Belly Gallery to interview and feature amazing local artists.

Their art journey in San Francisco has been an adventure inspired by street art, dancing, singing, and standing up for what they believe in. The city's vibrant influence shines through Jes's playful and purposeful creations.
