Meet Eko Wright (she/her), a San Francisco-based jewelry artist with Japanese roots. She crafts minimalistic sterling silver masterpieces using the Japanese philosophy of simplicity and subtlety.

Eko moved from Japan to San Francisco decades ago, finding both a home and inspiration in the city’s vibrant, open-minded community. Her work in metalsmithing, a process she describes as a meditative and time-bending experience, transforms simple sheets of metal and gemstones into exquisite pieces of jewelry.

Eko’s designs are characterized by clean lines and open circles that symbolize enlightenment, strength, and elegance; embodying a minimalistic aesthetic deeply rooted in Japanese beauty philosophies. Eko’s work, though simple in form, is rich in meaning and intention, providing a soothing, meditative experience for both the artist and the wearer.

This weekend, Eko is excited to showcase her Galaxy Collection during ArtSpan’s SF Open Studios at Fort Mason. The collection features geometric shapes and hand-set gemstones, representing the mystery and infinity of the cosmos, with the hope that the wearers of her Dreams-Come-True line will see their dreams fulfilled.

We invite you to explore her world of simplicity, elegance, and meditative beauty, and experience how a piece of jewelry can transcend its physical form to become a source of strength and tranquility.

Visit her studio this  SF Open Studios weekend to experience her art firsthand.
