Taiko Fujimura is a Japanese-American mixed-media artist based in San Francisco. Her compositions are strongly influenced by Japanese wabi-sabi and Japanese calligraphy, both of which she has studied since the age of six.

Her Mixed Media pieces confront the dichotomies between chaos and order, mind and body, positive and negative, and logical and random. They seek to bridge the contradictions around us where two opposites coexist through unifying spaces. The concepts that Taiko focuses on include quietude, peacefulness, harmony, unity, and universality.
