“I feel inspired specifically by abstract art because it's a form that is not so easily translated. It's complex, like humanity and emotions,” says painter LE BohemianMuse.

LE BohemianMuse calls herself an emotional painter using music as a tool while she creates. “Before I start even placing the canvas down, I have a ritual of choosing the music, turning on my candle, and putting on my uniform.”

During shelter-in-place LE BohemianMuse has been reflecting and cleansing.

“That deep, deep cleanse that forces you to really look at yourself and others without the rose-colored glasses. Some of it has been very painful, but very necessary,” she says.

In today’s #WetheArtists Story we see some of LE BohemianMuse’s art from her series “Rebel.”

Words by #WeTheArtists Guest Curator, Jacqwi Campbell who is spotlighted Bay Area-based artists from June-August 2020.
