Salome El is a conceptual photographer utilizing their physical presence as a main character in narratives dealing with mental health, state of being, identity, and, most recently, spirituality.
El captures quiet moments of solitude and dual feminine energies connecting in negative space. The artificial interaction they compose represents a reflection of existence. This exploration of self and actualization is rooted in El’s isolated and strict upbringing in Georgia. By moving to the Bay Area, El found a new path of freedom for self-expression and creativity. El is looking forward to evolving its practice to incorporate 3D elements as they continue to work on new pieces.
